Materiali: Dentro do dentro

 

As part of a collaborative project, I commissioned a new piece from composer Alexandre Lunsqui. In this work, the idea Lunsqui and I wanted to explore were the sounds that are often overlooked or “overheard” – the inside sounds. These sounds, which often need to be amplified, have rarely been considered a musical possibility and we set out to change that idea. Finally, after discussions with Lunsqui, he came up with Materiali: Dentro do dentro – meaning “materials: within the within.”

I recently recorded this work and will be released sometime in the not-so-distant future.
