WELCOME TO MY I CHING BASED SEQUENCER version 1.3.

Updates in 1.3:
- User has the ability to add and switch to multiple sound banks.
Known bug(s):
- When first loading the patch, resonant samples may be interrupted when moving from one minute to the next. This is (what I suspect) because of a bug in the [seq] object, which gives priority to MIDI over audio = bad thing. Usually the problem fixes itself after the first performance of the patch.

This patch was conceived and programmed by Jeremy Muller to be used with John Cage's 27'10.554" for a Percussionist. Its first use in performance was at PASIC 2012 in Austin, TX for the John Cage focus day.

User Features:
- Create your own samples (M,W,S,A) to be used in the sequencer.
- Edit the existing MIDI files to omit notes, voices, or entire sections.
- Type in the minute to start for rehearsal purposes.
- Presets available for setting volume levels of each voice.
- The ability to add multiple sound banks and switch through them at your discretion.

Instructions for creating samples:
- Single icti = samples 1-16 (c. 1"-2")
- Sustained icti = samples 17-20 (c. 30")
- Resonant icti (metal only) = samples 21-24 (varies)
- NAME SAMPLES like this: (metal1.aif, metal2.aif, … metal16.aif), (wood1.aif, wood2.aif, … wood16.aif), etc.
- MAKE SURE you place the samples inside their corresponding folders, otherwise Pd won't be able to find them.

Instructions for MIDI Files:
- Note 65 = single icti (uses velocity)
- Note 67 = resonant icti (uses velocity)
- Note 69 = sustained icti (uses volume controller #10)
- Dynamic range is 127-90 with 110 being MF (on the line)

MIDI TEST FILES ARE REHEARSAL TIME 30 & 31: These are used for sound check.
Test file 30 is specific velocities given 4 beats each in this order:
90
100
110 (mf)
115
120
127

NOTE: The panning indicators in the interface are only for visual reference and do not accept user input.

*Right now this is only a stereo version but I do have plans to create multi-channel versions. If you would prefer a specific number of channels, please contact me and I'll try to make it happen.
