Discover Science at the MIM

To kick off 2018 the Musical Instrument Museum (MIM) held its first-ever Discover Science event, which focused on “how science and technology affect the way music is made and heard.” I performed and talked about three pieces:

  • Music for Botany, by Jeremy Muller
  • Spectral Arctic Ice Triangulations, by Matthew Burtner
  • Quociente : Laços, by Jeremy Muller

Each piece joins acoustic and digital sounds and relates to math & science. Listen to some live excerpts from each piece of the performance below.
